The JPFA held its on-site Strawberry Training Course successfully. The participants attended lectures and a campus tour of strawberry cultivation facilities led by experts from Chiba University and professionals from consortium companies. On the second day, we visited some strawberry farms and related facilities in Ibaraki Pref. and Tochigi Pref. We are glad they could deepen their knowledge about Japanese strawberry growers’ cultivation, business models, and Japanese strawberry varieties, while they tried Japanese strawberries.

3/5～6に、JPFAイチゴ国際研修を実施しました。アジア・欧米などから熱心な事業者や生産者が参加し、柏の葉キャンパス内で千葉大学やコンソーシアム企業の専門家を交えた講義、イチゴ栽培施設の見学を行いました。質疑応答ではシステムや品種、培地、栽培管理など様々な質問が寄せられ、積極的な意見交換が行われました。2日目は茨城・栃木県にあるイチゴ栽培施設などを視察し、日本のイチゴを食べながら、リアルなイチゴ栽培の様子やビジネスモデル、日本のイチゴ品種について学びを深めました。
