Professor emeritus at Kyushu University, Honorary President of the Japanese Agricultural Information Society
After studying at Cornell University in the United States, he completed the Master’s program at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Okayama University. He holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture from Kyoto University. His expertise lies in Agricultural Management and Agricultural Informatics. He held positions such as Chief of the Management Design Research Laboratory at the National Agricultural Research Center under Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries before becoming a Professor at the Graduate School of Agriculture, Kyushu University. Following his retirement, he engaged in various Satoyama projects in Okayama Prefecture, based on his family’s agricultural and forestry businesses.
